Guangdong Polytechnic College was established in 2005. It is a public higher vocational college directly under the Provincial Department of Education, focusing on engineering disciplines. It is a project construction unit of the provincial high-level higher vocational college construction plan.

The school has three campuses: Zhongshan, Baiyunshan and Nanhai. The main campus is located in the picturesque Wuguishan Scenic Area in Zhongshan City, the hometown of the great man Sun Yat-sen, and covers an area of more than 1,000 acres. 

1. School requirements

 (1) Network construction and operation and maintenance are fully responsible for the construction and operation and maintenance of the campus network of Guangdong Polytechnic College Zhongshan Campus by a third-party service provider.

 (2) IPv6 protocol meets IPv6 construction requirements, solves the problem of the number of network address resources and the obstacles of various access devices connecting to the Internet. 

(3) Authentication and access to the network Wired and wireless must be authenticated before access to the campus network. Each terminal is not allowed to access without authentication, and is not allowed to communicate with other IP addresses before authentication. 

(4) The benchmark package (price, broadband traffic, etc.) is strictly implemented in accordance with relevant regulations and follows the principle of self-selection of activation and package.

(5) In addition to online services, the winning bidder can build on-site operation and maintenance by themselves or have a third-party professional operation and maintenance team provide 7×12 hours of on-site service.

(6) Unified management The network of the original teaching area, teacher apartments and public areas is built and operated by the school, while the student dormitories are under the responsibility of the operator. There is no unified management, which leads to problems such as bandwidth congestion and poor service quality.

2. Solution

(1) The POL all-optical campus network provides wireless and gigabit wired access capabilities based on WIFI6 technology, through the upgrade and transformation of export bandwidth and network equipment, the overall campus network operation capability is improved, providing a solid network foundation for building a smart campus. (2) One network carries multiple services. Provide 500M link interconnection services for Zhongshan campus and Guangzhou campus, access or transform one-card pass, IPTV, face recognition smart access control, realize wired and wireless, unified management.

(3) 100M export bandwidth. Each faculty member has an export bandwidth of no less than 100M, which can speed up smoothly and meet the wired and wireless Internet access needs of all teachers and students.

(4) Unified authentication and billing. Wired access and wireless access realize unified account and unified platform management. The integrated authentication system of Zhongshan campus and Guangzhou campus realizes cross-campus authentication-free users.

(5) "Online + offline" dual-line operation and maintenance. Online account opening, self-payment, fault reporting and other services are available. At the same time, at least two on-site operation and maintenance personnel are provided to provide operation and maintenance services.
