Gaolande (Guangdong) New Material Technology Co., Ltd.

I. Project Background

Gaoland (Guangdong) New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Gaoland") was established in 2019 and is located in the Guangde Industrial Park, Guangqing Special Economic Cooperation Zone, Tangtang Town, Fogang County, Qingyuan City. The company focuses on the research and development and promotion of new materials technologies, and is primarily engaged in technology promotion and application services. The Gaoland campus network construction is primarily divided into office buildings, factory buildings, tool rooms, and outdoor public areas.

II. Design Plan

1. Construction Requirements

● Four major areas: network and surveillance coverage for the office building area, surveillance coverage for Factory 2#, surveillance coverage for Factory 4#, and campus surveillance coverage.

● Campus services: security monitoring, wired access, and wireless access, requiring a basic network to carry multiple services.

● Construction Requirements: The office network requires a simple, easy-to-deploy, and easy-to-operate network.

2. Construction Plan

● Adopt a POL all-optical network based on GPON technology, with a 10G backbone and 1G to the desktop. This ensures interoperable access to campus resources while enabling multiple applications to run concurrently on a single network, avoiding duplication of construction and resource waste caused by multiple physical networks running separate systems and applications.

● A star-shaped network architecture is employed to support campus data transmission and exchange, while also equipping each node with integrated wired and wireless ONUs (Optically Local Units) to meet the network monitoring requirements of the industrial park.

● Access gateways, OLTs, aggregation switches, and monitoring hosts are deployed in the campus's central computer room to centrally manage ONUs and monitoring equipment, enabling intelligent deployment and improving management efficiency.

● New regional networks are constructed in a flat configuration, utilizing a large Layer 2 QinQ access design (core switching - broadband control equipment - OLT - ONU). QinQ plus port isolation isolates different services and users. This prevents ARP attacks, bogus gateway attacks, broadcast storms, and other network attacks that can significantly impact the campus network, ensuring overall network reliability.

III. Solution Value

1. POL All-Optical Campus Network: Unified deployment and management ensure low failure rates, easy troubleshooting, and simplified operation and maintenance.

2. Minimalist Architecture, Fiber-to-the-Room: Each room requires only one fiber, simplifying network cabling, each room requires only one terminal device, streamlining equipment installation and deployment.

3. Multi-Service Carrier: The ONUs provide wired, wireless, and security monitoring access, and can define different QoS for different services, ensuring stable operation of core services.

4. Office Equipment Interoperability: Some ONUs need to access dumb terminals (such as network printers), enabling controllable ONU interoperability.
